Race report: Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells 2024
This race has given me inspiration in my triathlon journey as I enter into my next season of training and racing. It has shown me that what I am doing is working and that I can trust my decisions in my training. Many of the pieces needed to create a solid race are coming together for me. I am excited for 2025.
Here is a description (with numbers) on my race:
Age group: F60-64
Competition & why I race
“I view competition as a vehicle to get the most out of yourself”.
_Jack Mullaney (Naz Elite running coach)
Recently I’ve been thinking about why I race. Not just why I do triathlon but, why do I race?
Running towards hard
I recently had a breakthrough training session. It was a hard run hill repeats session for one hour and fourth five minutes. I did the session mostly on fire roads out on the trails. Most of the hills I choose had a decent grade and a bit longer so not a lot of letting up. And it happened to be a very hot day.
Here’s why it was a breakthrough session for me.

Me on the Fiesty podcast rewilding
I had the honor of being a guest on the Hit Play Not Pause Podcast talking about how my rewilding in menopause has made me faster and stronger. This is a great podcast to learn more about how I go about rewilding and an overview of the why and how.
