Podcast guesting
I welcome the opportunity to be a guest on podcasts to share my story and inspire others to create their new possible.
Here are some of the subjects that I talk about:
ReWilding in menopause creating my new possible
Sharing my story of what I call rewilding in menopause. I went from anxiety, depression and health challenges to now experiencing my fastest times with more physical strength and emotional well being. This is the happiest I have ever been and the most excited I have ever been about life. I share how I navigated menopause and what changes I made that shifted me to living my best life now.
One Winters day when I hit rock bottom in depression I asked myself what if the narrative is completely wrong. Throughout history the narrative of what is possible for women has been wildly wrong what if that is the case for menopause. So I made the decision to find out. Instead of slowing down I sped up. I decided to go after big bold physical goals that would bust through the concepts of menopause that so many were coming to believe. I decided to become faster and stronger in triathlon and pull down some of my fastest times as well as do my first full Ironman race at 60.
Ironman training and racing at 60 - faster, stronger, healthier and happier How I am getting faster in Ironman training at the racing age of 60. I share my story along with specifics too - doing epic physical things post menopause. I share the things that I changed in my mindset as well as my physical world. This includes how I changed my perspective as well as the specific things I am doing that are making me faster now. I changed my training, nutrition, injury prevention methods and mental game.
My goal is that more people see the possibilities rather than the limitations in their endurance sports journey as they age. I deeply believe that there is so much more possible than we have any idea of. My goal is to help spread that perspective and spark others to create their new possible.
Why the lifestyle of triathlon is perfect for aging athletes women peri-menopause to post menopause AND for all humans (men & women). This subjects includes my own experiences and stories of why and how the triathlon lifestyle as changed my whole life for the positive during this period in my life. I talk about the primal connection as we have for nature as humans and the elements as well as our own rewilding that triathlon fosters. As it brings us back to ourselves on our own individual journey of movement, being outside, community, nutrition that works for our individual body and honoring our own unique journey in triathlon and life.
